Surprise Surprise..

December 23, 2008

Listening to: Turn it up by the feeling

Don’t say anything
You’re talking but you don’t say anything
You don’t do anything
You’re moving but you don’t do anything

Got hooked by this song while listening it in the plane last night.

So, I just got back last night. 14hours flight..that doesn't include the whole travelling getting to one plane to another or to the airport. I was so jet-lagged that I just crash on my bed last night without caring to unpack. I don't know how the band (the click five) stand all this travelling. Trying to sleep in a flight was horrible and they kept feeding you too much..haha.

Woke up with my cat meowing outside the front door. Guess she misses me alot cause she followed me all around the house while i showered, get ready and made breakfast. And surprise surprise, just after a while, she gave birth to 2 little kittens. It looked like a lot of pain, and I don't think she's done yet. Yeah, I felt bad being away when she is pregnant with little kittens but I'm here for the birth. =)

K, I'll get on with more blogging after I get an appointment for a massage after all those travelling.

Notting Hill, Lily Allen & Me

December 20, 2008

Listening to: Ultraviolet by Stiff Dylan from Angus, thongs & snogging OST.

Alrighty..I'm in my room here freezing cold & I'm starting to cough a little. Hope I don't get sick. This whole week has been great, seen a lot of places and new things. I appologise for not blogging often to update you guys daily on the stuff that's going on here cause I was dumb enough to leave my p.c behind in my attempt to pack light. So I'm typing with my dopod.

Abit of update with what I'm up to..last night I had a walk around Notting Hill with my dad which was nice and then we took the double decker home. The previous night there Lily Allen was attending Matthew Freud's Xmas party which was too bad for me I didn't bump into her cause I'm a fan of her music.. Now, I gtg get ready for another day shopping in London City..

The Terminal

December 13, 2008

So here I am..at Kuching's Airport at Borneo. Basically stranded. Like 'The Terminal'(if you haven't watch it, it's when this man played by Tom Hanks from some country-can't remember which was in a war so he's stranded in the U.S airport, not allowed to step out to New York..Well, my situation is not really like that one..cause I am allowed to step outside, I have money to buy stuff and I can communicate in both languages here-unlike tom hank's situation in that movie.

But I'm here now, eating at KFC with the "food voucher" they provide since my flight has been delayed..for 6hours!..so just taking my time eating as I write this.

I'm heading back to Kuala Lumpur now, and will be ready to head to London the night after. I have a feeling that my whole life will be spent quite some time at airports. =)..I love travelling..in any way..boats, cars, bus, plane, trains..whatever..

Sarawak is where I'm originally from. The best thing about being here is that they have the alot of varieties of sweet delights (some more or less like cakes). And I love the familarity when i hear the regional language. It feels like home. Apart from the down under. My family and I usually will return here once a year where I meet my other relatives.

Last night, before we depart today our family had a little gathering..It was nice..We had a little talk bout the history of our family. It was cool to hear that we were somehow related to the royal family of Brunei. We learned that my mum's family was distantly related to my father's side. My siblings, cousin's (actually nieces and nephews) and I look at the photos of our mum's when they were little kids. Heard about the time when the japanese communist came to Malaysia. How hard it is to survive in those times especially in the rural areas.

Ok..let me continue another part of last night in another post as me and the kids stay up and I heard something creepy at the back of the house (my sister wants to go online for awhile..so..)..later..~

So Many Possibilities..& London

December 12, 2008

Listening to: Boys with Girlfriends, by Meiko

Wow! What Ben wrote in his recent post is just incredible. The feeling must be overwhelming. In the future I hope I have the opportunity to experience the same thing.

Talking about the future..2009 is about to begin and I have to start on my new year resolution. Just to make sure that the year is filled with useful stuff.

Remembering year 2008.

This year have been quite a good one.

I have heard so many nice songs..

gone to a lot of nice concert/shows/parties..

 met new people..

 ran into old pals..

wrote new songs..

learn a lot of new things..

join the one love..=)

Well, now that I have so much time on my hands, I’m actually feeling a bit anxious. There are so many things I can do, so many places I can go, so many possibilities and that makes me afraid… What if, I don’t go anywhere? What If I waste my time and laze around?..hmm..Maybe I should stick with positive thinking..I already asked for a break, now I got it. It’s always a thing of mine to always look forward. I always go by ‘never regret’ policy. What’s done is done. Nothing you can do to change it..though you might be able to fix it in the future. But never regret. If you make a mistake, you should know how to overcome it by learning from it.

Now, however..London awaits..I don’t know where to go and what to do, but I’m sure someone has come up with the program for the whole week. And I just found this cupcake bakery called ‘Crumbs and Doilies’ in London, so maybe I’ll try the cupcakes there.

Other than that however, I’m wondering if any of you guys have any suggestion where to go? Or any shows that might be on? If anyone is in London this week, it would be nice to meet up with another theonelove blogger or reader. =)

Flights..Hate this part..packing.

November 29, 2008

Listening to: Mascara by Killing Heidi

Tired. Jet-lagged. fatigue. lethargic..All roll into one..

..haven't packed, just came back home and found out my flight is tomorrow..dont know what to bring..packing is the part i hate most.

End up doing it last minute and something always get left behind.

Can't bring guitar, don't feel like painting. What to pack?!..Rubix cube is missing..but I'm bringing that.

If I'm ever going on any tour, i think it's time to learn to pack light..so not me..

Plane flights..hmm..remind me a lot of bad memories of my absolute clumsiness..

-got stuck in the toilet (when i was young and happens so often)

-accidently pressing the 'help' button..in the toilet, at the seat while sleeping, while watching a movie and pressing it on the remote

-spilled a whole lot of smarties on a long flight along the row..-people can guess that was from me..

-spilled various of juices on myself on different flights-guava, orange, apple..

-spilled satay sauce on myself when having a tug of war with the satay on the stick..the meat really didn't want to be eaten..haha

but there are some good times..

-got to check out the pilot cockpit

-got a bunch of candy from the stewardess..(when i was young and they gave me loads cause somehow they thought i was adorable)

-yummy food

-always get extra ice-cream on long flights

-love the massive choices of movies..and games

..still i hate turbulences, i would be freaking out-MAJOR..

i would continue furthermore on this post..but that would be the packing would never be done..or even started for that matter..I'll continue from the other side..

I'm a Survivor

November 23, 2008

Listening to: She had the world by Panic! at the disco

Finally!! I'm Free..!!!~ it's already the end of the sem and I'm getting ready for my long trip..though I don't know where I'm heading after UK..huhu..Right now, I"m making up for my long absence of blogging due the time spent struggling to finish my final project..so...firstly, i filled you up with what I've been doing..a peek into architecture student life...

Drafting

I don't have a drafting table at home..so I improvise when in need to do tracing to..haha..with my T-Square, scale ruler and all..

Well, I didn't get much sleep in a month now..and I'm overjoyed I get to sleep at normal hours now..My eyebags has reach the point where I might end up looking like a Panda. So basically, this whole time I was mostly locked up in my room doing my drawings and models till the sun comes up, which by then I try to sneak in two hours of sleep..And this is all for a final marks and review happening this week..the onbly good thing i get out of this is, I actually lost 2kg..huhu

Anyway, here's some architecture student's perspective on things that was forwarded in friendster, i edit it a bit..check it out...

If you are architecture student you've probably experienced:

> -the taste of UHU glue, super glue,pva..the pain of having your flesh ripped apart when you try separate your fingers that you accidently glued together when doing your model.

> -changes in your vocabulary: homework to project, ball to sphere, etc

> -you hate people telling you "go to sleep" or asking "do you still have a lot of work?"

> -your friends and you don't have the same concept of work "oh, well do it right before class".. haha

> -you've slept more than 20 straight hours on weekends..(when you've alrady submitted your project)

> -you can easily discuss with authority the effects of caffeine on different drinks

> -no matter the effort you put in a project, somebody will always say “why don’t you add this?" or “why don’t you change this here?" or “i think that…but…yeah, its ok.."

> -you’ve heard all your songs in a week (or less)..if you listen to the radio instead, you're probably the first one update on the latest songs and then easily claim the song to be 'old' as you heard it repeatedly when other people have just heard the song.

> -you aren’t seen in public without bags under your eyes

> -whenever you get invited somewhere, it is followed by “or.. do you have a lot of homework?"

> -you’ll dance ymca with a choreography without a drop of alcohol in your system..in the wee hours of morning..

> -you constantly make up excuses for courses that are not design related why you didn’t do your work

> -you have more pictures of landscapes and places than of people
> -when you just started the course, you looked smart and well-groomed..now, ended up going to class with flip-flops and without a shower

> -your worst nightmare consists of not finishing a project

> -someone once called you “lazy" and you wanted them murdered

> -you can live without human contact, sunlight, food, but if double A (xerox and stationary supply store-artistry) decided to close… chaos!!!
> -you dream to go to work with a smart suit, a drafting bag in hand, bazooka (cilinder casing for drawings) on your shoulders, and with lots of blueprint scrolls..

> -when somebody lends you a Bic pen (the normal pen) you look down at it and laugh..haha
> -you don’t care about sports cars, your favorite car is the one where you can put in your massive model and your huge computer

> -you design spectacular things without the idea of the cost

> -everybody tells you how they admire your work, “but there is no money for it.."

> -you’ve gained the ability to sleep in whatever surface: pencils, keyboards, filthy studio floor, backpacks, your studio mates, food, etc
> -you cut up any part of your body your blade can accidently slide on..and end up so used to it, that instead of wasting bandaids, you use tissue and masking tape(archi's most prized possession).

> -you always have the idea that your project will always be recognized

> -when you finally have free time to go out you keep thinking “who was the idiot that designed the restaurant’s bathroom?", "this steps isn't proportioned", “who designed this menu?" or “who designed this (chair, table, lighting, fork, etc)"

> This is the life architecture students chose..either we enjoy it or ,wut else can we do..
Yeah, that's how I lived this past 2years and a half..

Owh yes..I did promise something i did to promote theonelove.org right..wait for it!!.....

Pure Poetry

October 10, 2008

Wow..How awesome is this! I have my birthday wish come true!. It’s hard to believe just a lil’ back while ago I was talking to Ben about the one love and now have the honor of being apart of this. Thanks so much Cassie for setting me up, you’re an absolute darling!!

A lil’ bit about myself..

Annabella Sophia

-Studying architecture

….and in between finding the right formula to a perfect song

-Love Love Love:

*Chocolates!!...a lil piece of happiness

*Music

…It’s been a huge part of my life.. helping me through the happy times, the hard time, the sad times.. having songs as a soundtrack of my life. Certain songs triggers different memories..those that I’m desperate to keep fresh in mind, music help me to preserve it.

*being goofy.. I love to sing without care (I do it mostly when I’m driving long rides home and have people gawking at me as their cars passed mine, which I then held my phone into view as if I was on loud speaker talking..), acting and portraying different characters and personalities for the sake of making my friends and family laugh..

*Helping out with a good cause

…I love the feeling I get from doing so and feel good knowing that others have the initiative to help too.

*Art...it just inspires me to observe and create..

*children

...they just radiate a glow of innocence that you can help but want to make them happy which in turn can get you feel joyous too..their giggles are totally infectious..

*to laugh

…I can’t help it, I laugh a lot! Sometimes at things people don’t consider funny..maybe my humor part of my brain is retarded ..owh well..

*travelling

...being in different places, seeing different cultures, learning different languages, experiencing different things..

*the beach

..the sound of waves and the blowing of the wind is music to my ears..I miss my home, Australia so much right now..=(

…well this can go on and on..so I’ll stop it there..hehe

Moving on..

As you guys are aware that the news post is filled with simple tips to help fight breast cancer, so I hope you guys can help by reading those..

Well, that’s all for right now..with that I end this first blog with a poetry dedicated to“To write love on her arms”..

Crouch on the ground she lay,

Cries her eyes out night and day,

Scribble and scars on her arms foretold,

Of stories and lies her past and present hold…

As the days pass by but seems to stay still,

Gush of emotion overwhelmed,

Need of help and the need to feel,

With every move her hope is dimmed…

So do visit the onelove.org as often as you can

Cause reading this blog you can defend,

And through the treatment received,

Can help those on the mend…

..~The One Love~..
