autumn and change

im finally starting to feel the release of summer as it gives into fall.
which is good.
things are changing,
everywhere,
dusk comes quicker,
the sidewalks in brooklyn are wearing more and more leaves.
people are slowly pulling sweaters from closets or under beds.
not sure why i love this time of year so much,
but it really does make me feel alive.
walking,
singing,
it all makes more sense in autumn.
changes are happening in my life as well,
it seems that im slowly piecing together what my life will become.
collecting parts here and there,
from different people and places
over time,
and displaying them all in the scrapbook which is my life.
im still missing a few pieces,
but hoping that they come soon.
sometimes i feel like they never will,
sometimes i feel like things are always one step away,
and sometimes they are,
but thats where patience and waiting come in.
it all seems easier in the autumn time, i feel at home,
like i could stay in these months forever,
with a p coat,
and a notebook,
and all my friends.
