Stop The Traffik: Chocolate
Stop The Traffik and The One Love needs your help!
The chocolate industry promised in 2001 to end the trafficking of children onto cocoa farms by July 1st 2008. They claim that they have done this but all they have actually done is gather some information about the exploitation of children from half the cocoa areas involved.
WHAT THEY HAVEN'T DONE IS END IT!
THE TRAFFICKING AND EXPLOITATION OF CHILDREN HASN'T BEEN STOPPED
WHAT ARE WE GOING TO DO ABOUT IT?...
Here's an idea of what you can do to help:
-Grab a group of friends (as many as you can)
-Dress up to draw attention to yourselves
-Stand outside of Local shops and go buy Fair Trade Chocolate
-Come out and give it all away, telling people why and asking them to do the same.
-Tell them to buy as much Fair Trade Chocolate as they can and give it away.
-Invite the local press to the event, and send them this press release (click the link) to tell them what you are going to be doing.
Keep it simple so as many people as possible can join.
Take pictures of yourself participating, and send them to theoneloverocks@gmail.com, and your picture could end up on the site!
ACT TOGETHER FOR THOSE WHO CAN'T
Thank you for being a part of Stop The Traffik, and The One Love!
