Hello Lovers of One
April 23, 2008
Hello Friends!
I'm really excited to be joining some good
friends of mine from Nashville and NYC here on The One Love. I have chosen to
support the International Justice
Mission, a human rights agency that secures justice for
victims of slavery, sexual exploitation and other forms of violent
oppression. I encourage you to check out their website to learn more
about this amazing organization that works to free thousands of slaves
worldwide each year.
So after living the last few
years in the great city of New York, I decided to come down south to
Nashville, TN about 7 months ago to immerse myself in this amazing
music scene here. I put out an EP around the same time and
got busy writing and recording for the next project which I hope to
have completed in time for the fall :0) Nashville has been
good to me and one thing I love about this city is that there is always
a show to play or go see. The last week or so has been
amazing. On Monday I went to the CMT Music Awards (hosted by
Miley Cyrus!!)(I'm a fan!) where I saw more country music performances
in one night than I ever have in my whole
life!

My birthday was on the
16th and some friends threw a small surprise party for me. It was the
first time I ever had one of those :0) The 18th I had the priveledge of
playing the famed Bluebird Cafe and share the stage with some amazing
writers, including Tony Mullins, one of the Hitmen of Music Row.

The Bluebird is sort of
a rite of passage for many of country music's best writers.
And a couple nights ago I caught one of my favorite bands,
Switchfoot. They rocked the packed out
crowd!
umm, and that's my week
in a nutshell, I'll try to update this as often as I can.
Thanks to Jade & Cass for having me, I look forward to being a
part of this amazing website!
