Lost.

May 13, 2009

Okay so I get sucked into shows every once in a while that I can't stop watching.. but Lost is the only one that still has my attention. I used to HATE hearing about it. Whenever people talked about it I was like yeah I bet that show is stupid as hell.. then one day I agreed to watch 3 episodes of it online and now I'm 16 episodes into the 5th season and it's my favorite show that I've ever watched ever ever. It's one of those shows where I end up yelling at the TV and sometimes I cry, laugh, gasp.. hahaha this sounds so dumb but I think people should all start at season 1 and watch all the way to now.. Even though season 4 kind of sucked, i stuck it out and I'm glad I did.. Sorry for this rambling, but the finale is tonight, so I'm super excited but sad.

Things that I'm into today. (besides lost) :

Orange Vitamin Water- It cured my headache.

My horoscope- it's telling me to mend fences with people that I miss, so I've been doing just that.

The incense I bought recently to fill my apartment with good energy

That's all for now.

Happy Wednesday. xo

Being home...

May 10, 2009

It's weird to be at my parents house only for a couple of days. My room is still the way I left it, so it makes me feel like I'm back in high school when I'm here. It's a lot more peaceful in the suburbs of northern MA than it is in New York City. Sometimes I wish I could have both.

I've only got a few minutes but I haven't blogged in a while so I wanted to just say a couple things. I will do this more often. I just have ADD so sometimes I forget.

Bamboozle was bittersweet this year for a couple reasons.  The first day was warm and wonderful and the second day was so cold and rainy that it was hard to appreciate even the best shows. And also, I wish my band was playing at Bamboozle. Lol. Soon enough. I did however fall in love with My Favorite Highway. I wish the best for those guys, very talented.

If anyone knows someone who is looking for a band in NYC, we have a few more spots that need to be filled to get on tour by the end of the summer, so pass it along at www.myspace.com/thishollywoodheart  Thanksmuch.

I'm only home for a few more hours so I'm going to go spend some time with my mother, since it is her day :)

Sending good vibes to start off your week on a positive note.

Rain rain rain...

April 07, 2009

Two things about rain..

1. I LOVE thunderstorms. I woke up this morning to the sound of rain and thunder outside my window. It reminds me of when i lived in Georgia when I was little and I used to go into my sisters room when there were thunderstorms all the time and she would bring sleeping bags in and we would sleep on the floor with the windows open and just scream every time the thunder and lightning were really crazy. The sound of rain is so comforting. Next time it rains I suggest you open your windows and lay in bed and just listen. Unless of course the rain comes in the window and gets all over your floor.. then you might just wanna go run around outside instead.. jump in puddles.. etc.

2. Patty Griffin- Rain... AMAZING song. I sang it once for a room of people and literally got tears in my eyes. It reminds me of an emotional time in my life and I just think it's so beautiful. Take a listen, you might like it.

Weather says it might rain again tomorrow.. :)

Aw, my first blog...

March 30, 2009

Hey One Lovers.. I'm so excited to finally start blogging here in the company of so many wonderful people/artists/music lovers etc.

I chose to support the Namugongo Fund for Special Children. This organization gives education to children in Uganda who don't have the opportunity to flourish in their community.I was blessed to be able to go to Africa a few years ago and help deliver supplies (shoes, food etc) to children who had nothing. It was a really humbling experience. I wish everyone an experience like this in life when you can see how something small can be something life changing for a child.

As for me, I just returned from a week away from home and now I'm getting back into the swing of things in NYC. It's getting warmer, winter is slowly fading away.. thank God! (As soon as I say this, there might be some crazy cold front that brings in another spring blizzard.. but for now I'm trying to stay optimistic!)

I've got some new music up that I'd love for everyone to check out. I'll have the rest of my MySpace done soon but for now, if you're bored.. go check it out.. www.myspace.com/thishollywoodheart

Happy Monday ;)
